Charles Louis Thomas Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Charles Louis Thomas, Sr., 72, of Spartanburg, SC entered into Eternal Rest on Monday evening, January 10th, 2022. A native of Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Henry Thomas and Mary Edwards Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Tommy Lee Thomas, Walter Thomas, James Thomas, Bobby Lee Thomas, John Thomas and three sisters, Shirley Hughes and Yvonne Thomas, and Ada Mae Thomas Simpson. He is survived by his son, The Honorable Charles Louis Thomas, Jr. and two daughters, Gayle Davis and Ava Smith. He also leaves behind four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Michael (Roseanne) Thomas, his sister, Mary Martin, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. His extended family includes his God-Sister, Emma Rivers, and two God-Daughters and their children. He relocated in his early years to Passaic, New Jersey and became a member of Passaic Holy Church. He graduated from Rutgers University and maintained a career in management roles for Wilson Sporting Goods, PepsiCo, and then retired from DuPont Chemicals. A virtual service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022. An outside celebration of life will be held at Heritage Memorial Gardens on a date to be determined.
